Upgrading - Membrane filtration
These membranes enable the separation of CO2 from the gas, achieving a natural gas flow that exceeds 99% in methane.
Within our membrane filtration system, gas enters initially to the pre-treatment towers. Through the absorption process with activated carbon, the elimination of components such as hydrogen sulfide (H2S), siloxanes and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is guaranteed. Then, the gas undergoes compression using an MX 400™ reciprocating compressor which is efficiently integrated within the upgrading process, thus reaching the required pressure to enter the membrane system.
Due to the permeability difference between the carbon dioxide and the gas within the membranes, the separation of components is guaranteed through the capturing of CO2 resulting in premium quality gas product.
